11 Days Yala Peak Climbing ItineraryWe start our journey driving from Kathmandu Valley to Syabru Besi (7/8 hrs) and overnight at a lodge. The next day, we start our trek through hidden forests and traditional ethnic villages like Bamboo, Lama Hotel, Ghodatabela, Thangshep, Langtang village, Mundu, and Kyanjin Gompa, reaching the magnificent base camp of Yala Peak. Delightful mountain views include Langtang Lirung (7245m), Langtang II (6470m), Yala Peak (5700m), Dorje Lakpa (6995m), and many more. Transportation from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi and back:You can take a private jeep or use the bus to share with local people. For more comfort, a private jeep is recommended as buses often stop and can be crowded.

Itinerary

Drive 5–6 hours through the Trishuli River valley to the gateway of Langtang. Overnight at lodge in Syabrubesi.

Trek 4–5 hours through dense forest following the Langtang Khola. Overnight at lodge (Lama Hotel).

Trek 4–5 hours with a gradual ascent through alpine terrain and mountain views. Overnight at lodge in Langtang Village.

Trek 4–5 hours to the spiritual heart of Langtang Valley. Visit Kyanjin Monastery and enjoy surrounding peaks. Overnight at lodge in Kyanjin Gompa.

Optional hikes to Kyanjin Ri or Tserko Ri and visit the yak cheese factory. Rest and summit preparation. Overnight at lodge.

Trek 6–7 hours through high alpine terrain with views of Langtang Lirung and surrounding peaks. Overnight at tented camp.

Summit day (6–7 hours round trip). Early start with panoramic views of Shishapangma (Tibet), Langtang range, and Ganesh Himal. Descend to Base Camp. Overnight at camp.

Trek 5–6 hours descending through familiar terrain. Overnight at lodge in Langtang Village.

Trek 4–5 hours through forested trails. Overnight at lodge in Bamboo.

Trek 3–4 hours. Final trekking day. Overnight at lodge in Syabrubesi.

Drive 6–7 hours back to Kathmandu. End of the trip.
